New Patient Experience
Your new patient experience begins with your first phone call to our dental office. We start by getting to know you and gather some information on this first call so your first visit will be tailored and streamlined to meet your very specific needs. We always try to get new patients in to see us – no matter how busy our schedule is–within two weeks of your phone call. If you are having an emergency, we will see you the day you call us.When you come through our doors, we will be waiting to greet you and show you around the office so you feel right at home.
Patients over 21 will visit with Dr. Van Tassell for a comprehensive exam and imaging (digital x-rays and intraoral Camera), discuss the findings, and talk about a treatment plan if necessary. Since the exam is so thorough and we take plenty of time to listen to your concerns and answer all your questions, we usually schedule your cleaning at a future date. No matter how nice it is here, no one wants to spend all day with their dentist!
Patients 21 and under will see the dentist and have their cleaning on the same first visit.

Comfort is queen here at Burkburnett Family Dental and we prove it by pampering you from the moment you walk in our doors. Thirsty? Help yourself to a beverage from the refrigerator and take a moment to relax and watch TV if you are a little early. Once in the treatment room, enjoy the views of nature through our huge, panoramic windows while you snuggle under a blanket and get cozy with a neck pillow. If you are a little nervous or need a extra help to relax or get numb, ask us about our sedation dentistry options. Once your appointment is over, grab a snack and a bottle of water on your way out to refresh yourself. We want you to feel at home and cared for from the time you come in to the moment you leave – and after!
Payment Options and Insurance
While we do not participate with any dental insurance plans, we will submit your insurance paperwork for you in order to maximize your benefits. We do ask that you pay the estimated remaining portion up front. We also offer a 5% discount for any treatment paid for in full in advance.
